The Guidance that has been published to instruct Art Market Participants (AMPs) for understanding and complying with the new anti-money laundering legislation is sizeable at 111 pages in total. We were informed at one of our regular meetings with HMRC, as Supervisory Authority for the new UK Regulations, that this is approximately twice the size of typical Guidance.

In order to help you understand the tables in Part II of the Guidance, not to mention this new era of responsibilities to combat AML in the art market, we’ve published a guide with diagrams: ‘How well do you know your customer? A visual guide to anti-money laundering for the art market – for Private Sales‘. Totalling twenty pages, this go-to guide has been designed as a reference for your use in the months and years to come.
